Midnight Academy kap 16 |
Sorry för att jag inte har uppdaterat något!! Nu var det riktigt längesedan! Hoppas ni gillar delen och att ni fortfarande vill läsa Midnight Academy!
Somehow I was able to fall asleep. I woke up the next night with a massive headache. I groaned and tried to get up but found myself being stuck under Daniels massive body. I was lying on my back, Daniel had his legs wrapped around mine, locking them down. His arms was circled around my waist, one of them trailed my spine up to my neck – where he held my neck firmly in one of his hands. I was wrapped up like a vampire-burrito – and not in a good way. I let out a small sigh and tried to slowly untangle myself from the sleeping vampire – did vampires even sleep? I couldn’t remember what Alistar once had taught us, but to me it looked like this one slept quite heavily – and I needed this chance to get away.
Taking a breath of courage, I slowly slid my legs away from him and off the bed. Great! Now I just have to push his body away from mine and then make a run for it – easy-peasy. Or that’s what I’d tried to tell myself while trying to push what felt like a concreate-rock of off me. While huffing and puffing, I might have made to much noise because Daniel stirred beside me – and like a baby he stretched out his arms, but before I could joyfully roll off the bed and celebrate my freedom, that son-of-a-bitch curled his arms around me and cuddled me like a teddy bear.
“It’s quite admirable to see you struggling this hard when the night is still young,” Daniel murmured in my ear. His cold breath sent shivers down my spine.
“You. Are. Heavy. Get off!” I growled as I pushed on his chest, to my surprise it was bare, Daniel let out a sigh and rolled over – pulling me along so I ended up on top of him. I blushed and tried to get off him.
“Wait,” Daniel said and grabbed my wrist. “I need my breakfast.”
What?
I glared at him furiously, he just raised his eyebrow. What the hell did he mean by breakfast?
“I haven’t had a drink in quite a while, and to survive another day in this academy I need my nutrition, so if you would just expose that pretty little neck that you got right there and let me have a drink, I would be very pleased,” Daniel said, his voice was quiet and calm, he didn’t sound angry at all, but the way he said it made me shiver in fear.
“No, I don’t want to,” I whispered and tried to break free from his iron grip – but the effort was in vain…damn these strong vampires.
“It’s a few drops from you or ten innocent humans losing their lives – your choice,” Daniel said coldly, eyeing me hungrily. Now that’s not fair play. I gazed at his hand clutching my wrist; the consort mark was still there on my right wrist. I took a steadily breath and pulled my hair to the side and tilted my head – exposing my neck to him. In one swift move Daniel pushed us to a sitting position, I was in his lap and my right wrist was still tightly captured by his hand. His face got slowly closer to mine and I inhaled sharply and closed my eyes tightly as his mouth lightly kissed the base of my neck. There was a moment of silence, it almost felt like time stood still and before I knew it I felt a sharp pain. I gasped as Daniels teeth penetrated the skin of my neck – shivering when I felt a drop of lukewarm blood running down my chest.
“Ah, almost missed this one…” Daniel purred and I felt his tongue trailing the line the drop of blood had left behind.
“NO!” I gasped, opening my eyes. “That’s enough!” I pushed his face away from my chest, blushing as his eyes met mine.
“Oh, dear…I haven’t even started honey,” Daniel sighed and caressed my hair – only to twist it between his fingers and tilting my head to the side so he would have easier access to my throat. He put his mouth on my penetrated skin and started licking and sucking. It almost felt like my blood responded to his touch – like it bled more than it supposed to do. I closed my eyes and tried to focus on something else beside the panic that was growing bigger and bigger. I jumped in surprise when a pair of hands clutched my face – opening my eyes I met Daniel’s black eyes, he watched me carefully before he drew me closer and kissed my forehead.
“There. Done,” he murmured with his lips against my forehead. “School will start within an hour, I suggest that you shower here, so you can avoid that grumpy-boy and come in time for the lessons.” Did he mean Erik by grumpy-boy? Huh, that’s kind of offensive right?
I gulped and nodded lightly; I brushed his hands away from me and got out of the bed shakily. I stood up and looked around in confusion – feeling a little lightheaded I headed to the door which I thought led to the bathroom, I thought the room was spinning a little too much for my taste and before I knew it I’d lost my balance and was falling, I closed my eyes and waited for the impact, but it never came. I opened my eyes slowly and found myself just inches from a face-plant; Daniel had somehow been able to catch me mid-air.
“Are you ok?” Daniel asked.
“Am I ok? Really? Of course I’m not ok! You bit me for crying out loud! I hate blood, I hate pain and I hate that I’m this pathetic, fainting over something like this,” I growled pointing at my throat where he had bitten me. “Now get me back up on my feet!”
“Oh, now we’re bossy, eh,” Daniel smirked and pulled me back on my feet. “You are interesting; I think I’ll keep you.”
I was so mad; it felt like my blood was boiling, I was standing with my back at him – I took a steadying breath and executed a (perfect – according to myself) round-house kick, hitting him right in the stomach. The face he made was priceless – the surprise was obvious and a huge grin spread across his face. It was a rare sight to see him smiling that innocently – I think I’ve never seen him smile like that. It made his features even more beautiful, his black eyes had a slight sparkle in them, his pale skin looked more alive, I could clearly see his strong abs as he stood there shirtless and with that tousled dark hair – mmm…that was almost a sex-on-legs guy. I couldn’t help but grin as well and before he could catch me again, I darted to the bathroom. I locked the door behind me and sighed in relief.
I wondered if you could call that a “moment”? Nah, not with a vampire, right? I gazed down at my right wrist; the red rose was still there – making everything more realistic. I sighed and walked over to the grand mirror, I gasped when I saw myself in the mirror – my light hair was stained with my own blood, my ice-blue eyes was bigger than usual and I looked even paler than a vampire – that’s bad, I tell you!
“Erika!”
I turned to the bathroom door, did Daniel just call me?
“Erika, open up,” Daniel murmured.
I frowned and walked over to the door.
“What?” I muttered, eyeing the doorknob carefully.
“Just open the door, Erika,” Daniel ordered. What did he need now? It’s not like we’d been separated for long. I shook my head in wonder and unlocked the door – Daniel darted into the bathroom in a blink of an eye and before I could even move out of his way, he had me pinned against the wall between his arms.
“Jeez, if you needed to go that badly you could just say so,” I smirked, but there was no humor in Daniel’s eyes, his jaw was clenched tightly together and his whole posture was tensed.
“What’s wrong?” I whispered, I couldn’t help but feeling intimidated by him. I opened my mouth to say something but Daniel stopped my action by suddenly kissing me.
“Wait! What?” I gasped but was cut off by another kiss; this one was deeper, hungrier.
“Daniel!” I said between the kisses, I felt myself losing the will to fight him and instead, I started to kiss him back – what the hell was happening to me?
